About Mindy

Mindy Walder is a therapist and coach working to help people find the connection between healing, personal accountability, and social transformation. She began her practice 15 years ago serving marginalized teens, where she honed skills in conflict resolution and self-care practices. Mindy’s current work centers around individuals and couples. She runs groups for women navigating midlife, as well as divorce—pre, mid & post—and helps clients to realign action with values to best care for themselves and their loved ones amidst the myriad challenges of restructuring a family.

Mindy holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College as well as an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. She received a coaching certification from CDC, and likewise holds a certificate from the Mindsight Institute, where she studied with Jack Kornfield and Dan Seigel the relationship between neuroscience and Buddhist/mindfulness practices. Mindy has also received training in couples counseling from the Relational Life Institute, and is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
